Solabu – the daytrip cabin
The daytrip cabin in Hålandskogen is open all year round and it can be used by everyone.
A social meeting place in nature
The daytrip cabin, named Solabu, is located inside Hålandskogen. The forest is a popular outdoor area in the south of Sola municipality. The walk from the parking lot to the cabin is about 1 kilometer on a gravel road, making it an easy everyday hiking destination. It's also possible to get to the daytrip cabin with a stroller or wheelchair, and the hiking trail is well-lit at night.
In the daytrip cabin, you can light a fire in the stove and enjoy your packed lunch while taking in the great views of the mountains and Ryfylke. Chat with other people who might be there at the same time or settle with a book from the small library inside the cabin.
