A costal haven
You'll hardly find a more delightful swimming spot than the seawater pool at Myklebus tin Tananger. Built in 2015, the sea bath has been in use during the summer seasons since then. Fresh seawater circulates through the pool. It has been designed with minimal intervention in nature and seamlessly harmonizes with the surrounding coastal landscape. The pool has a soft sandy bottom, providing a pleasant swimming experience.
The English newspaper The Guardian named the sea bath at Myklebust one of the top ten in Europe in 2023. The article about the sea bath is based on the book "Saltwater Sanctuaries from Around the World" written by architect Chris Romer-Lee. The book showcases a total of 66 sea baths.

Easy access for everyone
The pool is easy and accessible to all, with paths, stairs, and a bathing pier. You can reach the sea bath via the nature trail. There's also a parking lot nearby. If you encounter a jellyfish in the water, feel free to use the rakes placed along the edge of the pool to remove them.
