Museum of Aviation History
Aviation has a long history in Sola
The Museum of Aviation History at Sola is a diamond for aircraft lovers and anyone else interested in both aircraft and war history. The museum is located in the old seaport at Stavanger Airport, Sola, in a hangard originally built by the Germans during World War II. The museum is an impressive sight, with a large collection of over 30 civilian and military aircrafts and helicopters.
Adjacent to the museum is also the Torpedo Workshop. Here you will hear more personal stories from World War II. The museum is open from May to November. The museum is part of the Jærmuseet which manages cultural heritage sites throughout the region.
