Join Norway's largest and oldest annual dragon festival at Hellestø beach for the event Dragefesten 2026

Ever since 1990, Sola kite assosiation has organized kite festivals. In June 2026, several thousand people flock to the beautiful Hellestø beach to see all the large drop of kites or fly their own kite. The day before the festival, they organize a kite workshop for anyone who wants to make their own kites. Every year professional kite fliers are invited to the festival. These pose with spectacular kites.

The kite festival is back, with a kite workshop at June 6th at Sola kulturhus and a spectacular kite drop at Hellestø beach on June 7th!
